Today was banding day at the local eagle nest. This year there is only one eagle in the nest.

Based on the age of the eaglet with a weight of 7 1/2 pounds and the shape of the beak Bill Davis thought is eaglet is a female. The eagle was banded with a MA. State band “D6” and a Federal band “0066”
